Has anyone tried using this on their new 700p yet? I was just wondering how the performance is compared to the 650 since the 700p has an upgraded Bluetooth version.

    What does it do?

Just tried it with my 700p and Plantronics 590A headset. No joy. It caused a couple of soft resets and gave a vouple of different errors. (unable to connect to headset.sdp, and another about a registry being to full to accept any more info). When I did finally manage to get it to connect sucessfully to my handset, music in pockettunes wouldn't even begin to play until I went back to the internal speaker.

    IMO....version 1.06 is broken on the 700P.

I also got an error "No ACL link to remote device" and am getting random beeps from the headset indicating that it tries and fails to make a connection.....followed by ANOTHER soft reset.

    Waaaaaa....I want my headset back....

This is most disappointing thing i found on my new treo after menu button issue. I hope softick is working on new version which is Treo700P compatible

I'm having the exact same problems described above running SAG 1.06 on a new 700P.

Absolutely no luck getting SAG to play through my Jabra BT620's- Pocket Tunes just freezes up as does TCPMP.

I shot an support ticket to Softick last night and they estimate a 700P version in '2 to 3 weeks'

    Blah!

well its better than nothing. But i still cant understand Palm logic behind no support for A2DP. They have better (or so called) bluetooth radio ship. Well anyways.....

Argh! I was looking in the bluetooth section and didn't see anything about it not working with the 700P, of course and so went out and bought a headset yesterday, only to find out it wouldn't work. I suppose none of the earlier versions (before 1.06) work either, eh?

Could Palm potentially have A2DP in an update since it's BT 1.2? This was one of the reasons for me upgrading so I could get rid of my ipod, come on PALM!

Ok, so it's now been 13 days since your message, which means the estimate would have it coming out as early as tomorrow and as late as next Tuesday. Any bets on whether we'll actually see it in the next week? I'd love to see some progress updates since this is one of the key reasons I'm trying to switch over all of my portable content from the iPod to the 700P...

Around the beginning of last week I worked with DMP (Developer at Softick) and we tried a few things with SAG. He sent me a few versions to try on my 700p. We finally got one to work but there was a 20sec delay before the music would start to play. Then it would play fine. AVRCP did not work at all in the versions he sent me. However if I change songs on my Treo700p it would again delay 20 seconds or softreset. He ICQ's me that he knew what the problem was and would need to do some recoding. That was over a week ago. I have not talked to him since. Hopefully it will be soon. I cannot sell my TX until SAG works on my Treo.

If I hear anything soon I'll let you know but your guess is as good as mine. I just wanted to let people know that it is one of their top priorities. I think the biggest problem Softick has is that the 700p is not available where they are located.

I hope so too! I missed this thread and ordered 2 BT Stereo sets over the last two days. Palm has to get support the A2DP profile! Imagine how cool their advertising COULD be!! Ipod Killer!

Aaaargh. I just ordered a Sony VGP-BRM1D and was about to purchase SAG for my 700P. Now I have to decide whether I should cancel the order for the BRM1D or just wait for Softick to release a stable version of SAG for the 700P.

Well, this is the week that Softick is supposed to be out with the new version, so let's cross our fingers. I myself bought a Motorola HT820 a couple of weeks ago at CompUSA, so I only have a little over a week before I can return it, which I might do if I can't use them before the 30-day return limit...

I guess this week isn't happening...I just got the Anycom BSH-100, which works great with the 700P. I commute from Long Island into Manhattan daily, & would love to be able to use this headset only. I got this one because they are also releasing a Bluetooth Ipod adapter towards the end of June, according to the sales rep...

I have been checking Softick's site daily, but no dice...

    Hopefully soon!
