    Ah yes....

    But the inertial dampers are only affected during the anti theft deterrant mode.

    ie: Treo 700p being thrown thru subspace from point A, where you are to point B, impact with thief.

    Just as long as 700p does not come into contact with thieves or high gravitational objects like black holes, the inertial dampers should remain intact..
