When I upgraded from the 600 to the 650, there was a warning not to do a hotsynch with the old 600 software.

There is no such warning on the 700P, and can find no mention of it in the manual.

    Opinions?

I have hundreds of contacts and such. Don't want to have to retype them.
I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

should be no porblem. The 600 to 650 was a problem because the 650 had less memory capacity.

I'm assuming that there's new features / software that came with the 700P. Backing up my 650 now.
What's the worst that'll happen? Have to hard reset my 700P?

IMO, hotsynching is bound to bring over something unwanted from one to the other. Best case is you get bogged down and lose snap from having a bunch of useless files laying around doing nothing.

    Thanks Jack.
Hot synch worked. Just deleting stuff I didn't want on the 700 like MobiTv.
