I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

excellent... we have a prompt. Just for kicks, try a memory dump (don't worry - it's non-destructive):

    mw a0000000 1024

This will dump the start of the bootloader.

Also, we might be able to use the "ram2sd" command to dump the whole contents of RAM (ie: bootloader/etc.) to an SD card. This requires an SD card without useful data on it and a way to read images without having DOS partition headers (ie: Hex Workshop/etc.).

The first folder did not upload completely. Below is a new link as of 8:35 CST. When unzipped there should be a total of 463 files, totaling 25 mb. Sorry for the confusion.

Use at your own risk. I accept no responsibility for content, or you damaging your Treo.

I am not a developer, nor can I answer
    technical questions about it

    Not that I won't, it's because I can't.

BTW - this is good news. It means that writing a ROM tool will be a lot easier for this phone, assuming the nand command works as I hope.
  6. #86
I don't have any blank SD cards and the memory dump command doesn't do anything.

It kept resetting. Got any other ideas? Willing to give it another go later today, unless you've already got yours to play with.

The zip file seems to be missing all the files after M (alphabetically). Do you have those anywhere?
  13. #93
odd... does it just lock up, or display nothing? If it locks up, try mw a1000000 instead...
  14. #94
It doesn't lock up, it just goes right back to a new command prompt.
  15.    #95
He couldn't get them all, it kept reseting.
    Just call me Berd.
  16. #96
odd - maybe they locked it out? hmm... i guess i might need to get a hold of one to do some more hacking, or find someone who has an empty SD card to try ram2sd...

I might be able to help out too... Followed all the steps up to this point but I got this:

Also I have an old 128 SD card that wasn't doing much so I deleted everything off of it and did the ram2sd command.

    >ram2sd

I have a card reader and everything so let me know what else I can do to help, thanks for your time!!!!

PS, Pressing the reset button is not kicking me back out of bootloader mode like it did on the 650. I have to actually pop the battery to get back out.

oh, and I also have a student version of Visual Studio .NET which I'm guessing is what the original RomTool was created in based on the icon.
