Technological superiority has never won a product battle. If that were the case we would all be flying in supersonic Concordes and using Apple computers.

The key to winning the battle is a combination of price, convenience, marketing, sound business model and a bit of luck.

Get over the Sprint bashing. If they called me tomorrow and offered to give ME $300 in exchange for terminating my contract and not allowing me to become a customer again for the next 10 years, I'd decline the offer.

They gave us SERO, affordable (dare I say cheap) data outside of SERO, and lets not forget - if it wasn't for Sprint supporting Handspring when the 300 flopped, we might not even have a 700p right now. Given all that, I'll wait another five days to get mine.

Somehow, I have a feeling if Sprint's new management wanted the 700w/p first, Verizon would be SOL. I think they wanted Verizon to do the beta testing of the w, or they frowned at the RAM size/price.

You expect your loved ones to treat you right. When a stranger doesn't care it doesn't bother you...but when a loved one turns a cold shoulder it can be devastating.

If people didn't love Treo so much, they wouldn't be so upset. Keep that in mind.

    Amen.

Yup...and bring your stylus...you'll need to click Start --> Programs --> SatanBundle --> Intro to start your initial session.

Once you've completed the initiation process you'll need to re-boot.

Upon re-boot... click Start --> Programs --> SatanBundle --> Gates

You'll see the welcome the screen. Tap on the screen 6 times and a drop-down menu will appear. Go to File --> Login --> Create User Name

Follow the onscreen menu. Be sure tap "Next" after entering the required data.

Once you've created your user name, you will need to re boot the system.

Upon re-boot... click Start --> Programs --> SatanBundle --> Gates

You'll now see the welcome screen again, only this time you will see the user name you created and a login button.

    Click the log in button.

Now...it will ask you to verify your user name and password. The username should already be there. To enter the password, simply type your password in and click the "remember password" checkbox next to your password.

Now that you've done this...you're almost there. The system will need to re-boot.

Upon re-boot... click Start --> Programs --> SatanBundle --> Gates

You'll now see the welcome screen again. This time you will see your name AND password and a "login" button.

Simply click the "login" button and you're ready to enter the Gates of Hell!

I'm mad at Sprint too, but let's face facts, the data plan is a lot cheaper than VZ.

$40 unlimited data vs. Verizon's, what is it like $70 a month? I forget now.

I am however confused and upset that for $40/mnth they can't throw in text messaging!?!

Come on Sprint, what the heck? Like TM takes up sooo much bandwidth? Just can't figure that one out.

I don't know -- it is not a sin to curse (I don't think), as long as you're not using the Lord's name in vain. And I have known several Catholic priests who cursed on a semi-regular basis (never heard the f-bomb out of them, but "bad words" nonetheless).

Sometimes it's the sharp humor that gets my funny bone. And yes, I am a practicing Catholic. But I can see how you, and others, could find it offensive.

    QUOTE]

    Unlimited Data Plan: $15
    Unlimited with Pics/Video: $20
All that plus all TV channels: $25
    Unlimited Text Messages: $15
    Unlimited Phone as Modem: $40

    Using all Min: $70
    Using all Max: $85

How many people seriously need Phone as a modem? You can go just as fast through blazer now? How much Web browsing are you needing? If I had my 700 (which I dont, and I work for Sprint) I'd forgo the PAM plan. I've had the EVDO data card for about 6-7 mos now, and its not all that impressive. It honestly is slower than entry DSL, and wont hit that speed until EVDO Revision A comes out later this year (Mac users rejoice because of USB supported cards).

Is it worth the wait for the 700p? Yes. Am I pissed like you guys for the extra week? Yes. Do I want mine now? Yes.

    What was my arguement?
