    I also did the #*#33284 tests and got the following:

    650 - RSSI:-96, RX:-96, TX:-440, TX Adj: - 63

    700W - RSSI:-93, RX:-93, TX:-424, TX Adj: - 63

    700p - RSSI:-94, RX:-94, TX:-493, TX Adj: - 63

    The RSSI/RX values were very stable while the TX values varied quite a bit with each sample - seemed to sample about every two seconds.

    The 700p consistently showed about one more bar than the 700W and about two more bars than the 650.

    I suspect that the RF front end hardware is identical on the 700W and the 700p and the differences that we see with the tests may be due to different software handling the debug test and the signal bars. After all we are dealing with code running on two entirely different operating systems so perhaps we might expect some differences in how different code executes on the same CPU hardware.

    Need more info. Are higher numbers better or worse?

    The units are in -dB so the lower the number the better the signal strength. I live in a fringe area so I have seen values at times and especially from previous phones at -100 to -105. Never had a dropped signal with the 700W and none so far with the 700p.

    db's almost identical on my 700p and my wife's 700w as well.

    Here's a data point.

    I just got my 700p, I upgraded from a 600, and at my house the 600 was almost not usable. So much so, I'd gotten an arc external antenna for it, which made it marginal, but usable. My shiny new 700p works reasonably well with it's own antenna, so much so I think I probably won't use the arc.
