$150, I don't get it, the cash value from Palm was just like $185 a week ago.

The change is the $185 offer was for an excellent condition Treo, the only requirement here is that the unit works, good deal for people with cracked displays and no insurance

Was wondering the exact same thing.
But it doesn't really matter, my 650 has already been designated as a gift to my gf's kid.
I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

The fine print of the terms and conditions says "NOTE: Your trade-in device must be in working condition. All relevant components need to be included or your trade-in value may be reduced."

So has anyone tried doing this and not sent back the battery? I could use a spare battery for my 700p

You don't have to purchase a new phone from Palm's site to qualify for the trade-in, do you?

For the $150 "poor condition" trade-in, yes. Otherwise, it's peanuts ($10) for a poor condition phone.

I can't make outgoing calls unless someone calls me first. Is that "working condition"?

Something like that. They're going to clean them up, move the logos around, and do something minor like move the reset hole to the outside. Then they'll leak some photos every so often for about 6 months, create a stir, and release it as the 750. (MSRP of $699)
