If being with you gets me:
    a. a good night's sleep
    b. followed by a rude awakening of a lady in need of assistance in the early morning hours.
    c. She lets me sleep another hour and starts over again
    d. I awaken from a two hour nap (my batteries need a little longer to recharge after round 2) and have breakfast served in bed by a beautiful red head (the girlfriend doesn't need to know)
    e. The Cubs get their heads out of their a$$e$
    f. Hillary Clinton gets caught out on "girls" night with a pound of cocaine.
    g. My 700P can fill in for me on vibrate mode when my batteries are just too tired (call me again big boy)

    Then yeah, I'm in.
I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

How does everyone seem to figure that out? Believe me, no TWI for me in the future.

To me, this phone is not worth it at all. It's basically a Treo 650 on steroids with the only benefits for me being more memory and EV-DO. There are key elements to this phone that are left out that make the price absolutely ridiculous (whether it's $400 or $600). No excuse for lack of WiFi support (even in the SDIO slot) or bluetooth voice dialing. These are basic features that all smartphones today have. 1.3 MP camera is still too crappy to be functional. No support for SD cards over 2 MP is a joke. I just don't understand spending $500 on a phone where the only upgrades over the previous version are more memory and faster data connection.

Till you guys debug the 700p for me. Which should take about 18-24 months.......by then the 800p rumors should start to surface.

    Hehehhee.....(evil laugh).....

Yes, I will let Satan's carrot dangle just a little longer....

If you use Wi-Fi and BT voice dialing, then absolutely, this phone is a POS (and that's NOT Palm OS).

I had a 6700, used Wi-Fi once in two months - (EVDO is THAT good and WM is THAT slow to not fully take advantage of WiFi), and never used BT except for GPS. 1.3MP camera is crappy, but the 6700 redefined crappy camera. SD card support - I've heard that RiData 4GB cards work, and that the issue is the SD association not standardizing the 4GB interface. Who knows?

For me, this is absolutely worth $500, since I think it'll be the top-of-the-line POS phone for at least another 18 months.

Waiting for a real offering from Palm which should be the Treo "Hollywood". Handing over a large sum of cash again and resigning my term with my carrier for a poor upgraded version of the Treo is not my idea of being logical. Not unless Palm can offer me a good trade in price for my Treo 650 to get the 700P.

I agree with you...I just don't see the benefit of WiFi when you hav EvDO. For all of those people who want to use it for skype...just buy up to nights starting at 6pm (Sprint) with a free incoming plan...done deal. When your skype convo sounds like crap...the carrier isn't going to care...don't use skype is what they're going to tell you. Maybe it's because I live in an area that has EvDO but I find it easier to be anywhere and use EvDO rather than hope the local McD's or Starrybucks has a free access point. Remember people, wifi isn't always free when you go somewhere...EvDO is at least in whatever plan you choose.

After watching this forum DAILY for what seems like forever with its anticipation (and antics) it would be a let down not to get it. Upgrading from a 600 makes it a no-brainer.
I've been holding back the temptation to get a discounted 650 to replace my 600 and it looks like my patience has finally paid off! I want one!
