I think the instructions are geared for cell phones that offer that service

Below are Sprints instructions to use access Sprint TV:

With Sprint Power Vision, you can watch live TV on the go right on your wireless
phone. Accessing your Sprint TV channels is as easy as using the remote control
in your living room. Wherever you go on our wireless high-speed multimedia
network, you can get more out of your Sprint TV service.
To access your phone’s Sprint TV channels:
    1. Select Menu > Media Player > Channel Listing > Sprint TV.
    2. Select the channel you wish to watch, either from
My Channels (a list of preview channels or channels to
which you’ve already purchased access) or from
Available Channels (a list of channels available for
    purchase).
    3. If applicable, select a clip and press Play to view the
    program.

That does not apply to a TREO 650 phone.

Does anyone have any answers on how to use Sprint TV with the Treo 650

The 700p can use PowerVision, not the 650.

Just go to MobiTV and get their client for the Treo 650. You don't have to go through sprint. There may be a slight difference in channels you get, but they're pretty much the same last time I checked.

You can purchase MobiTV via Sprint's online vending machine.

Point blazer to the Sprint PCS Vision mobile home page.
    Downloads
    Applications

MobiTV is one of the featured apps in there. (or go to TV & Radio category - it's the first app in there)

Get a 700p! I'm told it has a new application in Launcher dedicated for that purpose. So it should be pretty well integrated into the system.

The MobiTV application can be a good substitute if you don't want to purchase your content from Sprint.

I know it shows it on their website, but I don't think it works for the Treo. Clicking on the link brings up the message, "Currently this content is not available on your device." Someone told me once that SprintTV, though hosted by MobiTV, was only available for certain sprint phones. Anywho, you can get it from Handmark for the same price.

There's something screwed up with the vending machine then. I BOUGHT my MobiTV via the vending machine. Re-downloaded new versions a few times as well.

If you go to the TV & Radio category, you'lll see "MobiTV-Live TV for Treo"

So, if -that- doesn't work on the treo...something really is screwed up on the vending machine.

I can now confirm that this is true.
The 700p has SprintTV built in.
You do have to spend some money to buy some good channels though.
