I get this message after each hotsync:

Invalid login. Please check your username and password and try again.
OK Mark/Space Conduit for AvantGo with 1 message(s)

But it seems like AvantGo is updating fine..?

Also, I have important DocumentsToGo files that I do not think are being backed up by Missing Sync. I am not concerned about being able to open and edit them on the mac, but I just want them to be backed up in case I loose everything on my Treo. Do I have to install DocumentsToGo on my mac?

    Thanks.

Well, since then I figured out how to fix the AvantGo problem but I would still like to make sure my DocstoGo are being backed up.

Alot of people prefer the Missing Sync Folder Sync service to DocstoGo. As I want to keep my files where I want them on my mac, instead of in specialised "sync folders" I've never used the Missing Sync Folder Sync feature & cannot comment on it.

What I can say is that using the D2G conduit with missing sync works fine & backs up documents really well. My advice would be to install the conduit (& application) on your Mac if you are having troubles with Folder Sync.

fly888, there is no special sync folder. You can create and define whatever folder on your mac you would like missing sync folder conduit to handle. And you can put that folder anywhere you like on the mac.

As an added plus, the folder conduit can sync multiple folders, for example I can separately sync an SD card documents folder and an SD card voice memos folder with any two folders I choose to use on my Mac. I use PCS compressed audacity audio files, but you can use audio files from a number of voice memo programs.

I removed D2G from my Mac desktop a long time ago, because the missing sync folders conduit works so well. This is one area where Missing sync has placed Macs ahead of PCs

Can you explain how to do that?

Note this is for missing sync 5.0 or above.
Go into Missing sync for Palm OS control panel and go to the conduits section. Double click on the Mark/Space Folder Sync conduit. You will see a plus sign on the left. Click on it. You will get a selection window to choose your mac desktop folder on the left. click on the select button. Choose where you want your sync folder to be, use the create new folder button if you want to make a new folder. Then after doing that, go to the right of the selection box, this is where you select the folder on your SD card. You can select the document folder if you want to sync documents for example. Or you can select the folder that your voice memos are in if you want to use that. You can create folders too. After you pair your first folder set, you can repeat the process with another pair of folders. It seems like you can use unlimited numbers of folders, although I only sync two sets of folders. Well I hope this helps, good luck.
