I am having problems with my Calendar database. As of now I can hotsync successfully. I have about 7000 records in the file. If I run dbscan on the Palmsource file it wipes out 3000 records which I do not want to do.

Is there any alternative to dbscan? I have exported/imported the calendar.dat file.

Chapura has something called DataFix technology which is described as: The DataFix feature detects corrupt records and invalid data and then corrects them when possible or simply removes them and replaces them with the Outlook version. It also removes any corrupted archived records from the handheld.

I would be willing to buy the PocketMirror product if it might clean up my file. Any suggestions?

Try exporting your calendar into CVS format (and back) using DIMEX.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

Bill - thanks for the tip on Dimex. I was not aware of that program. Do you know how Dimex compares with the error checking and correcting of PocketMirror?

I know nothing of the PocketMirror product. DIMEX does no error checking; it's just another method of exporting the calendar. You mentioned that you had exported/imported the calendar.dat file and I gathered that didn't work; I was merely suggesting a more drastic export/import as a possible solution.

Export/Import via Palm desktopdoes work, but according to dbscan my Calendar file still has lots of bad records. I am looking for an alternative to dbscan to find and fix the errors. According to DIMEX's documentation there application does do some error checking too.
