In the manual for the most recent verison 1/06 there's discussion about using the keypad during Find. It shows the keypad screen and states a text entry can be done from this screen. There's also discussion about the "and" function which is on the * key. I see none of this. My Treo 650 defaults to numerical entry from the Treo kepad or from the takephone kepad. The only "lookup" type function is on "Find". Please advise.

    Hi,

I am not sure I understand your question - are you in TAKEphONE's "Find" view ? and while there you are tapping the on-screen buttons and cant find ?

    Thanks.

Perhaps the on-screen keypad he's using isn't actually in the Find view, because he's selected Hide on-screen keypad in "Find".

Bill Gamble - You're the Man! You nailed the issue perfectly. Shimon, my appreciation for the product grows as I discover more about it. Continue to work on the manual as there are features in the Preferences that aren't easily understood in the text. I would never have thought to look for this issue under "Display"....I would have expected it in "Find" preferences. Remember that many of us use the "quick learn" strategy and end up thinking less of a product because we don't discover all that it can do before we give up.

    Thanks.

I do plan on revising the manual.
