OK, I've wondered this for a while, what exactly is the Michelin Man? I know he sells tires, but if he was made of tires wouldn't he be black? He always kind of reminded me of The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
    Trust me, I'm a producer.

The Michelin Man's real name is Bibendum. He's supposed to represent tires stacked up in the form of a person. As far as why he is white, it's a mystery.

I think as a society we should be colorblind when it comes to our corporate mascots. Until we do, we will not be as racially sensitive to funny plump cartoons as we should be.

Sometimes it takes someone to point something out from the outside to realize how wrong it is inside. If more people were like you we might just be able to make a little difference in this crazy world.

    Thank you sir.

The reason the Michelin Man is white is because tires used to have a white plastic wrapping around them (to avoid cosmetic damage to surface).

Nothing racist or otherwise nefarious. The race card players, knee-jerk racial syncophants, and similar red diaper doper babies need to move on to their next misconstrued "evil" or "victim".
