    No demo
Maps are a part of the purchase
You have to store them on the SD card
Again, the maps are a part of the purchase

    IMO, it is worth it.

Which maps you get depends on which package you purchase

You can download maps for individual cities from TomTom's website

Oh and yes definitely worth getting

Camel, I use Tomtom also ans is the one of the better ones out there if not the best. Very easy and intuitive, once you get past the woes of installation. As others mentioned above, it goes on the SD and works rather well. Voices are a hoot. Do a search on TomTom here on TC and you well get detailed installation instructions.

The best "deal" is to purchase a "kit" with the receiver and software. Would suggest a charging cradle also unless all ya trips are < 4 hours. You can downlaod individual regions, states, even cities I think offteh ToTO web site but I haven't seen the software offered for sale anyware with just limited coverage. There's 8 CD's in teh USA set IIRC but most of that is repeats as there is different maps by region, state, coupla states etc. Liek to get the tristate area I could add:

    1. NE region
    2. NY / NJ / Con. as 1 file
    3. NY as a file, NJ as a file Con. as a file
