I am using chattermail with my 650 and cox.net. It is not allowing me to send mail. Does anyone have a solution or a work around for this?

It's very possible that you can't use their SMTP server unless you're on their network. You might try using your carrier's SMTP service, or get an inexpensive account at, for example, fastmail.fm.

    Marc is right,
neither cox nor bellsouth allow you to send mail on the smtp server unless you are signed on to their network with one of their ip addresses.

I got around it by using Sprint smtp server since I also have a sprint account. I now also have IMAP on chatter so I have a second possibility. If you buy chatter, you get a 6 mo free trial of IMAP that of course also lets you send out.
