I signed up for Yahoo Music but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the Shoutcast streams to play on P-Tunes.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't think Yahoo Music uses streaming MP3s, in which case you are SOL.

KRamsauer is correct. The streams through Yahoo are WMA, so no support from any application for Palm OS. You can access some Pocket Tunes compatible streams at TreoBits.

I guess I'm confused. They're supposed to be Shoutcast streams and I thought P-Tunes works with Shoutcast. I'm pretty sure there's a "Best Shoutcast Streams for P-Tunes" thread in here somewhere...

They are not Shoutcast streams. Shoutcast streams are a particular type of mp3 stream that provides extra information about the station and the song being played. Pocket Tunes Deluxe does support Shoutcast streams.

Where did you get the impression that the streams available from Yahoo were Shoutcast streams?

He's probably been led astray by the 'shoutcast plugin' that yahoo provides for their yahoo music engine... which is based on MusicMatch Jukebox, which they now own.

Its windows only. Nothing to see here folks... move along, move along...
