When i click on the link i see the pic but no animation, and when i save the file to the Treo it is saved as a jpeg file. shouldnt i be able to just click it and see the animation like on all cellphones? When i check the Sprint picture mail site online, i see the animation.

    I feel your pain!

I think I hear crickets chirping in the background. . .

I have yet to find an app that'll play these. Hopefully its just a matter of time before one of the common apps, like TCPMP, AcidImage, or Explorer (to name a few) supports 'em, or someone finds an app that does.

Play them how? Never have saved images to know if they retain their original fily type.

I tried Resco Imageviewer and InDev grxview Pro... and bought the latter... it can play animated gifs, view tiffs (faster than AI Pro), and png files... IMO, very good image viewer program...

I've been an AI fan for the longest but their upgrade was just not worth it =(
Now it's the WAITING GAME: a GSM Palm Pre
    T680 (COPPER) + Cingular = FUN!!
    My T650 & 6230b and NX70 are retired... =(

View animated GIF files sent as picturemail. You know how someone sends you a picture mail, but its a animated GIF (i.e. little man dancing on screen)? On the Treo this comes through as just a pic with no animation. The option to save the pic to phone is displayed but the pic is saved as a jpeg not animated GIF. regular cell phones have no problems with this. I cant believe the Treo doesnt do this

It looks as though Resco Photo Viewer should do the trick.

The only remaining challenge is to get the animated GIF into the Treo in its original form.
