    So with a $34.99 service plan (2 year contract), you walk away with a $149 Treo w/ full warranty. Or to make things easy to compare with above with a $34.99 service plan (1 year contract), you walk away with a $199 Treo w/ full warranty.

    Ya gonna save $10 a month w/ Sprint ($5 on voice and $5 on unlimited data) as compared to Cingular....and $30 a month ($5 on voice and $25 on unlimited data) over the year, so overall, if I counting right....after a year....

    Cingular = $85 + $10/mo = $205
    Sprint = $199
    Verizon = $99 + $30/mo = $459

    So how do you get 1 year contracts with Cingular and Sprint through Amazon? I tried both my local zip (02215) and a zip in New York State (12754) and they only show 2 year contracts.

    Thanks,
    David

    Has it changed already ? Here's the rebate form

    http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/...0017422737.pdf

    It says you eleigible for rebate "with a 1 year plan for $39.99 or higher"

    Seems they have updated one area of the web site but not the other. I tried calling and all I could get was "we'll look into it".

    My advice, print out the rebate stating one year...print out the page offering it for whatever price and walk into a local brick and mortar store that sells "all carriers" and ask them to match. When I did that, they gave me $25 off the web price, a 1 year contract compared to what was clearly stated as two years on the web page back then. I don't know what is mistated the rebate form or the plan offerings but might as well sue their errors to your advantage.

    Anyone out there in the military should check with Cingular. Right through their website I got the Treo for $124 - $25 instant rebate = $99. Had to sign up for the 2 year plan, but the discount includes 19% off all service plans (voice and data).
