Ive just about begged the dev to include an alarm feature, it should be a simple add on I wish they would include it.

I have Butler but it wont do random MP3's

Looks like still no XM/Sirius (wma) streaming. That sucks.

I second the random MP3 alarm feature! I think MobileClock does it, directly thru Ptunes would be much better. I would actually use it and LOVE it!

Yeah, too bad they missed some obvious bugs. For instance, let's say I want to store pTunes on my SD card when I'm not using it. OK, great, I can put it on my SD card, but when I launch it from my card and listen to it in the background, two different pTunes icons show up in my launcher. One that indicates pTunes is on the card, and one that indicates pTunes is in the RAM. And not only that, but when used while stored on the card, all of my internet audio streams disappear. The only fix I've found is to keep pTunes in the RAM. Lame update.
Why are ringtones always such a big issue? Don't people realize that they're obnoxious!? And why the Nintendo 'Wii'? What th-!?

Oh, and I forgot to mention skins not always working if launched from the card. And sometimes they won't even show up in the menu. pTunes SUCKS if you want to store it on the card. I wonder if that's intentional?

This is not a problem with pTunes. When you run an app from the SD card, it copies it to RAM. You only notice the additional icon because you can run pTunes in the background and see what's in the launcher. Any other app that can be run in the background would behave in the same way.

pTunes has always said that streaming only works with the app is stored in RAM, so this really isn't something that is broken to start with.

Your first point is not true. I've ran other apps in the background while they were stored on the card without the dual icon problem. I've ran into others who can say the same thing.

OK. Let's say I have pTunes stored on my memory card. I launch it from my card, and it's now in my RAM(at least until I exit it). IT'S IN MY RAM. Why aren't my streams showing up?

The bottom line is; pTunes is a pain, UNLESS YOU KEEP IT IN YOUR RAM.

What other apps? I don't mean that sarcasticlly. I would think any app that is stored on the card, copies itself to RAM, and then runs in the background would show two icons. However, I don't know of any other apps the behave in that manner (running in the background). Of course, there are tons of Palm apps and I don't claim to know anywhere near all of them. One thing I did notice is that when you exit pTunes when stored on the card (using PowerRun), the extra icon is not removed.

I see what you mean. To my surprise, I was able to stream a station, but it was the last thing loaded when I move the app to the card. I was not able to locate my other streams.

Okay, I pretty much agree with you and I guess this is why they suggest you run it from RAM.

I can't remember every app I've seen the dual icon issue with, but it seems pretty random. I'm looking at my launcher right now, and I have 2 Chatter icons. Normally I wouldn't think to store Chatter on my card(especially being that I use its push email functionality), but for this instance I did just for testing(although I wish I hadn't - my phone has reset twice in 7 minutes since moving Chatter to my SD card). I know there have been other apps that don't have the dual icon problem but I can't recall what they are, nor do I care to try and find out.

Yeah, I'm just surprised these things didn't get fixed. Am I the only person who's ever tried to store pTunes on the card when not in use or what? Anyway, it really isn't a big deal, as I use pTunes often enough that I don't have much of a problem justifying its stay in my RAM.

Oh, and another bug that wasn't fixed: let's say you're using a skin that doesn't have a 'stop' button(only a 'pause' button such as the popular iPod skin), and you're listening to some tunes, when you decide you don't want to listen to anymore. Since there's no 'stop' button, you press 'pause'. Everything seems fine. 30 minutes later you get a phone call. The calls goes fine, and you hang up. Then, strangely, pTunes starts playing the last song you were listening to from when you last pressed 'pause'. Annoying. WTF?

The only fix I've found for this one is to not use skins that don't have a 'stop' button. Or skip ahead until the album/playlist is over. Regardless, it's annoying.
