    Hey All,

I'm happy to say that from day 1 I've had no issues with my 650. But now, all of a sudden I am getting TONS of random resets. I look over, there it is, resetting. At times I press the red phone button to turn it on. There's a another reset.

Now before anyone asks, I haven't installed a new application in at least 4-6 months. I went from absolute bliss to now having utter chaos...2 resets since I started typing this post.

Should I just sync, hard reset, then resync again as a starting point?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

oh, and I've got 1.08 software...should I update that first?

    Thanks!

    Wow, 14 months with 1.08!

Now would be a good time to upgrade. You may be having low memory problems now.

I'd flash with 1.13, and reinstall everything.

If the upgrade does not work, I suspect a software corruption and a clean install may be neccessary: (But do the upgrade first.)

If the upgrade to 1.13a does not cure the problem:

Do the hard reset part and do not re hotsync yet.

Still have the problem? Could be a hardware problem. If the issue goes away - then do the resync part. Still okay? Then proceed with the fresh 3rd party installs.

It'll be just like a brand new Treo. In fact, I think it'll even have the new ugly yellow splash screen.

Okily Dokily...she's all upgraded and hot synced...now I'm going to hope and pray that she'll behave for another 14 months...(or at least another 9 months till my dreaded 2 Year contract is up!)

Thanks for the help, I'll keep you posted!

    Great!

(If the resets return, we will then try the clean install.)

    Cheers, Perry

I doubt seriously these things are made to last much longer than a year or so.
