I listen to streaming audio on my Teo all day at work.
I've noticed that it can get quite hot. Can these phones take 6hrs of
continuous use for 5 days a week?

    The question is "Can You?"

Just joking, but yes they do get hot but they seem to handle it very well.

Thank goodness for unlimited data plans.

    Warm, yes.

Hot, no. How hot is quite hot? If it would make a great winter hand warmer -- you are okay. If it is uncomfortable or not possible to hold in your hand -- something is amiss -- maybe a bad battery.

    Cheers

I listen to Shoutcast during the day. The 650 definitely does become toasty, but it doesn't seem to hurt the unit.

Sadly, one of the ways I check to make sure that I disconnected from PTunes before I go to bed is to check the warmth of the treo. If it's still warm, I know that I forgot to close down the connection.
