When you edit the favorite you'll see 'more' at the bottom. Click that and enter any extra digits, or commas for pauses.
Then check the box that says 'Dial extra digits'.

    That should do it.
By the way...this works great for getting into voicemail with one click of a favorite.

By the way, how to get rid of the default favorite, such as "voicemail", "Versamail", etc. They are an annoyance to look at and I never need to use them.

Voicemail can't be deleted. Versimail can de deleted by going to menu: edit : delete. There are some favorites like solution or store, which can't be delete in phone app, but can be deleted by takephone. You can download takephone free trial version to do it.

With TAKEphONE you can enter pauses and passcodes to numbers in your phone book without using Favorites. It does a lot more as well.

A quick note on using "Extra Digits" with the standard phone app.

I didn't like having to manually start the process (to call office VM). Ergo, I checked "Dial Extra Digits Automatically."

Problem with that was that the Treo started dialing the extra digits before the VM system was ready to receive them.

So I added a bunch of commas at the beginning of the extra digits and it works like a charm.
