You can take the update either from where you bought our software (e.g. PalmGear or Handango) or directly from us - the complete instructions have been sent today to all registered users of Hi-Launcher.

Just installed the updated version on my SPCS Treo 650. I'm a bit disappointed that the URL "mailto:" feature is still forcing the use of Versamail, even though ChatterMail is set as my default mail application.

CGordonn, I have already contacted the author of ChatterEmail about this issue, as after some tests with both programs, I came to conclusion the problem lies on their side. ChatterEmail seems simply not to support the "mailto:" Palm OS Exchange Manager's scheme.

I also directed the author of Chatter to this thread, so perhaps he'll take part in our conversation.

All we can do now is wait...

I dont believe this is an issue with ChatterMail. To test this, I created a "mailto:" shortcut using SharkLinks. When the shortcut was activated, a new ChatterMail message, addressed to the "mailto:" contact opened up.

Further more, from within Hi-Launcher, I set my "mailto:" SharkLink shortcut as an application to be launched. An indeed, the SharkLink shortcut, when launced from Hi-Launcher, correctly opens the message in ChatterMail. Just using the URL function in Hi-Launcher with a "mailto:", Hi-Launcher defaults to VersaMail.

So again, how is this a ChatterMail issue?

Re: Chatter (beta) --- it's "mailto" works fine with QuickNews as well.

Hi-Launcher still causes a reset if you use it to launch a DA while in Blazer.

It can be better. It only support the hardware buttons only, not the keyboard keys in treo 650, so I still want to keep mcphring.

I can't say anything but what I already said unless I get some information from the author of ChatterMail. I'm still waiting for his response to my e-mail...

Perhaps SharkLink uses additional methods of launching applications after detecting the "mailto:" scheme. If I don't get any response from ChatterEmail soon, I'll turn to the authors of SharkLink to learn if they used any special methods.

yeah it'd be great if I knew where to download the upgrade. There is no info on the website for this. Can you PM me Ranso?

Dang! Finally installed the new version. The menu used to zip out speedily, now, it seems to be in slow mode. ONLY thing that has changed on my 650/GSM between now-old HiLauncher and 3.1 is that upgrade. Going back to 3.0.

My only complaint so far is the hardwar buttons don't include the treo 650 keyboard. I always use the right shift to popup menu and alt key to popup the last application, now I have to use the click the hold the left shift key to popup menu and give up one key to the last application.

Also it looks there still some icons don't show up. In my treo 650, all builtin application like bluetooth, contacts, calcultor have no icon. Qlaunch got a black square icon.

We've had a few complaints that it was too fast earlier, so I decided to slow it down a bit in 3.1... Maybe I slowed it down too much...

I'll introduce a speed slider in 3.2 so everyone will set a preferable speed

Hi-Launcher will support the keyboard soon. Stay tuned

The icons you mentioned don't show up because they are not there! These applications miss standard icons and Hi-Launcher uses the standard icon of each application.

Getting back to the ChatterEmail issue: I got in touch with the ChatterEmail's developer and we'll hopefully manage to fix the incompatibility very soon.
