I have a Treo 650 and have been hot synching with no trouble via bluetooth. I would like the ability to use the USB cable especially for a firmware update. Problem is that my PC will not recognize the Treo 650. I cleaned the cables, reinstalled software, got a new hot synch cable. Today I tried a second PC with two different cables and again, not luck in establishing a connection. Also, I tried my wife's Tungsten and no connection there either. Have I skipped a step somewhere in installation that could be causing the problem. Shouldn't my PC say "new hardware found"? I am lost with this one and not sure which direction to turn.

Did you select Local USB in the HotSync manager?

Yes I did. I now get a message that there is a problem and it does not work. Looking into it further, I also see that the drivers did not install. It is an "unknown device". Could there be a compatibility problem with Windows Media Center Edition?
