I have BigClock on my 600 and love it. Does it work OK on the 650?

BC works pretty well on my 650, except the alarm! screen doesn't pop up anymore from the background if another application is up.

I dont completely understand your answer. If I am asleep with my phone shutdown will the alarm work?

It did on my 600, but not currently on my 650. I don't know if the change is related directly to the 650 SW or maybe a compatibility issue with another program(s)? I've been too busy and/or indifferent to investigate. YMMV.

When the Treo 600 first came out, Big Clock was incompatible (which I guess they now have fixed). So I dumped it then.

Someone created a version that doesn't crash with the 650. I don't have the link, but I have the program. PM me if you are interested. I use it all the time on my 650 and it works great...never crashes!!!

Tks for the offer but I'm using MegaClock & it's working fine most of the time. I have one issue.-it seems like my daily alarm didn't activate on the past two Tuedays. So I need to test it some more. It could be that Tues mornings are my mornings to ignor the alarm. But I'll keep you offer in mind.

    rjmoose,
Sorry I got the letters mixed up on your login. I'm working on my Treo 600's small keyboard using my big thumbs.

BigClock used to work for me on my old Kyo 7135, but not on my Treo 650 - alarm wouldn't pop up! So I switched to TreoAlarm, and that works perfectly for me.

I just tried moose's version of BigClock. It works pefectly on my Treo 650 GSM 1.20ENG. no crashes, menus don't cause soft resets. Seems stable!

    rjmoose,

Is the version you've got 2.83t (as opposed to 2.83 without the trailing 't')?

I use Watchmaker. It looks awesome and works great and free.

I tried BigClock and I noticed the font would get all jagged when I dismiss the pop up alarm alert, even for the launcher when I exit. Probably due to the low res and the 650 is hi res. I didn't like that plus some other bugs I can't remember. Watchmaker works fine so I use it. Actually I have several instances of it so that I can get more alarms. Watchmaker works on OS5 and in hi res

    Good find maceyr.
I use MegaClock (paid for) and it works well. But I must say, this Watchmaker looks great. Will keep in mind for future.

Check out 2PlayMe. Serves as an alarm clock and an application launcher based on day/time. But I've only used the alarm clock feature.
If you found my post useful then please sign up for a Dropbox Account, I could use the extra 250mb of storage.

Watchmaker looks very nice & comes with a better UI, but I miss BC's stopwatch function.

What I miss about BigClock (at least I recall it could do it) was:

Start a countdown timer for 10 mins, when it expired it would alarm, but then start counting up, with the option of re-alarming at user specified intervals. If you missed the countdown alarm you'ld be able to see how long ago it triggered by checking the device to see where the count-up was up to. If it reported 6:33, you'ld know you missed the countdown by 6 mins, 33 seconds.

Anyone know of sw that can do this?

mobileCLOCK does this. Elapsed time starts counting up after the count down timer fires. You can snooze the alarm, and the count up continues.
