I'm using 4Cast 1.65 (036) on a Treo 650. Its options are set in "get weather via" with both "wireless" and "hotsync" selected, with the auto refresh on wireless disabled.

It refreshes the weather on my configured cities via hotsync with no problem. However, if I try to manually update the weather report via Do \ Refresh (or Refresh All), I get a notice that the weather will be updated on my next hotsync. It does not go online OTA to get the report now.

    Yep.

4Cast isn't even trying to go online. Before the conduit version, if the phone was off I'd get a "device off" error. And actually, testing now, if the phone is off I get a "device is off" error.

Another data point from a new test: If the data connection is already open (ie, using Blazer) it will download the weather info.

Testing one more time now that I've made a connection, it's working.

It appears that like earlier, as I relayed in email, it needs to see that a connection is possible before it will even try to make one.

This is weird. Is this something that needs to be fixed, or something that needs to be documented?

Very strange. I will check it - try to replicate.
