Hasn't improved any of my current issues:

    1. After switching to Remote, the BT420EX cannot be used to hang up a call. The hang up must be done on the Treo

    2. After an incoming call is over, pTunes does not resume. It is in a "suspended animation mode", in Play but with the track clock stuck and not advancing.

    2. pTunes has to changed to Paused mode, SAG has to be switched to Internal and back to Remote and ptunes back to Play for the streaming to proceed.

    No, in PTunes: Prefs/Advanced Prefs

Ah! I thought he was launching ptunes automatically when SAG was switched to Remote.

Wouldn't be a bad feature. Saves 2 steps (and many button presses).

I tried v1.04, and it didn't address my problem. I wrote to the support already. It is the same problem as Aprasad. With v1.03, I can get around the problem by not pairing with the native Palm bluetooth setup. But now, I can't. What a drag. I attached my support request below:

    Dear Support,

First thanks for the quick update. However, even with version 1.04, my treo 650 is still unable to switch back from a phone call to ptunes after I complete the call.

    Details:
I paried with SAG with my I-tech R35. Previously with 1.03, I need to pair with the build in Palm bluetooth setup software in order to use it as a handsfree. But with SAG 1.04, I only need to pair with SAG and can use the handsfree function. I can listen to mp3 from Ptunes perfectly, and when a phone call comes in, I can answer and handup the call with the my R35 bluetooth device. Once I end the call, I notice that the SAG will handoff the handsfree back to stereo streaming (I can tell, by the lighting signal from my R35 that it disconnect and reconnect).

However, music in Ptunes can not resume. I can't even go into Ptunes to re-start. When I press play, no action. The timer is stuck. This is similar to the problem that I had with SAG v1.02. I need to set back to internal from SAG and reconnect to external (I mean remote) with SAG in order to get it work again.

    Please help.

    Thanks

Ok I tried 1.04 and it still will not resume remote streaming after hanging up a call. Although now I can switch from internal streaming back to remote streaming immediatley after hanging up unlike 1.03. I can answer/hang-up calls through the BT450RX and I hear it ring as well. But here is the kicker, now if I push the "pause" button on PTunes 3.1.3 it crashes the T650. If push the "stop" button everything is fine. This only happens during remote streaming. With internal streaming PTunes is fine. Also TCMP .72RC1 is very choppy and unwatchable now whereas with 1.03 it was choppy but watchable. Real Player still causes soft resets.

While at the gym the BT450RX's stayed on my ears even while benching (although they were loose). I still haven't tried running with them yet but I'm not holding my breath that they will stay on my ears. I think I'm gonna keep these until the Sony's, Nokia's or the Jabra's come out.

    Here is my setup:

    Treo 650 Verizon 1.04 w/16 megs free
    Bluetake BT450RX
    PTunes 3.13
    TCMP .72RC1
    SAG 1.04.496

Even with the routine run-of-the-mill streaming (no incoming calls, no going out of range etc), the sound is good for 5-8 minutes. Then the streaming stops, ptunes is still in "play" mode but locked up (timer is stuck). I have to pause ptunes, satrt SAG, switch to Internal and back to Remote, Play ptunes. The streaming resumes.

The cycle repeats after 5-8 minutes.

Anyone figure out what the "Logging" mode is?

Those with problems with resuming pTunes after a call - try this:

    1) Start SAG normally
    2) Start pTunes normally
    3) Hit the home button or switch to the phone app.

Now when you receive a call it should switch backand forth automatically.

It's not perfect but it's the only way I can get it to work.

1.04 still does not work with subscription music and pTunes though

Thanks to everyone for Softick Audio Gateway 1.04 feedback. We really appreciate your opinion and we'll do all the best to fix discovered issues in the further versions. It's very frustrating for us that 1.04 is not such good for you as you wish, but it's really much stable in our configurations (especially for Treo 650 with Plantronics 590 and BT420EX). Anyway, we are tracking changes made from version to version, so we can revert back to the most stable stages. As we noticed, any small change in Audio Gateway Bluetooth logic may lead to the different behavior in the different configurations, so we'll collect and analyze this experience for the further improvements.

Did someone noticed that keyguard problem went away?
    Best regards,

Ok so I lied....I went and bought the Moto HT 820's today. Comp USA has them for 89.99 right now. Plus using my AMEX card I have an additional 90 days to return them if they dont work out. They are charging right now so I 'll let you know how they work later.

I am very pleased with them. I like them better than the BT450RX's that I also have. Great sound and they stay secure on your ears. I wear glasses and they don't bother me. Also, they are no bigger than those headphone FM radios from Sony that I used to wear to the gym. If anyone is interested, see my ad in the Marketplace for my BT450RX's.

With SAG 1.04 I'm having the same problem with PTunes pausing for no reason just like Aprasad reported. Looks like for now I'm going back to 1.03. It's better for the music at the gym. Phone calls, at least for right now, are secondary to the music.

What are the bit rates you guys are getting when you do a test from SAG?
ONE can be spelled as NEO.
    There is no spoon.

Thanks for the software. It works well enough that I puchased it with my Plantronics 590A, but it does need a few more fixes to be considered great. The phone call handling and playback with Ptunes after a call is a problem I'd like to see fixed. There are a few threads that do justice on the problem so I won't redescribe it here, but you guys are almost there with one of the must have apps for the Treo 650.

    I second that.
Technological superiority has never won a product battle. If that were the case we would all be flying in supersonic Concordes and using Apple computers.

The key to winning the battle is a combination of price, convenience, marketing, sound business model and a bit of luck.

I thought I read that SAG doesn't work with Yahoo Music Express music that is subscription as opposed to purchased. Can anyone confirm or rebut this and has anyone asked Softick if this is being addressed?

    thanks
