    ROM tool users,

Need your feedback. Can you check your tokens using the tool and list which ones you have? Also, please list your hardware, phone info & any add'l info (I.E. Cingular Blue Treo, unlocked by Cing, currently w/ 1.20 ENA software & camera present). You might not have all of them, but please list what you do have. So far, we have seen the following:

    GSM only
gvlt, Gime, GoUc, GpUc, LLid, poCL

    CDMA only
    <none yet>

    Both
BTid, crnm, gmfl, hser, HTCM, hwvr, prnm, revn

Your feedback will help us to further develop the token writing in Matt's ROM tool. http://discussion.treocentral.com/im...ilies/wink.gif

** Do not post your token vals for Gime & hser. Be sure to keep those secure.

    Gime is on both?

My Treo's MB are hybrids (CDMA boards converted to GSM), so I cannot give accurate info...

Yeah, thats what is needed. I'd remove the Gime & hser token values.

So far, I need values for GoUc & GpUc. The rest I just need to know which are present. . . at the moment.

What's up nono! You're right, Gime is not on CDMA.

Actually, your token layout could tell us something.

I am posting this a kind of example. hser if you can just mask the numbers and/or letters but signify what they are in which positions I think that may be helpful. The # signifies a number in my example.

It would be great if we could get some Verizon, Cingular & different int'l carrier ROM tool users to post their findings.

Thanks to all who have. This is very useful.

I was the one who pointed you to the tool I believe.

The RomTool is actually safer than the SD updaters. Using the bootloader makes it so you can always fix your ROM.

The only thinng you need to do to be able to run the LAP updater is get the RomTool going. Then Phone Info -> Edit Tokens.

Look for crnm and change the value to LAP and save it. When you reset you can then run Palm's official updater. This token is what the check is failing on.

Here's a link to a stripped LAP SD updater that will not check version and allow you to update to Palm's updater after if you like as well.
