"PowerClip has been released and can be downloaded [from link below]. It is a simple, FREE, no-nonsence no-slow-68k-code clipboard expansion tool. It expands the normal PalmOS clipboard from measly 4KB to 64KB. No UI, no nags, no paying, no slowness, no nonsence."

A lot of programs pass the memory address of the data and not the data it's self, but this is cool

I think that's a contraction of "no nonsense" and "no cents"

This is great! I just wish there wasn't an icon associated with it in the launcher.

Wow, thanks! I thought I knew how to do almost everything on my treo, I never know I could just hide icons like this. I've read many threads about hiding the things that come loaded on the phone (not remove, but hide) and I thought you needed additional software to hide icons.

It doesn't work on things in ROM tho unfortunately.

I like the icons so I know what apps I have, but I dont want to always see them.
So I use LauncherX, I have a tab called 'Hidden' where I store these icons.
    Then I hide the tab.

Hide the Hidden tab. Makes perfect sense...

Pardon my ignorance but where exactly is the Clipboard?
  12.    #13
It isn't in a "place". The "clipboard" is a routine in the OS that allows you to use the copy / paste function. The Palm implementation allows you to copy 4k worth of data and temporarily store it in RAM till you paste it somewhee else. This mod allows you to increase the amount of data copied in such an operation to 64k.

Type your name in memopad, now highlight your name and tap "cut" or "copy"......you are now on the clipboard.

If this works as advertised, it's too cool.

I'm trying to copy a memo and I'm getting Clipboard limit exceeded error. Memo is not big, maybe 10 lines more than standard clipboard capacity can accept.
    Am I doing something wrong?

I discovered that you have to do a soft reset before PowerClip will kick in. Unfortunately, once it did, there were multiple instances where I thought I was getting the white screen of death. Turns out, my system had slowed to a crawl, across-the-board, but especially when trying to open (previously zippy) apps. Also started getting random resets, when my baby was actually stable before. (i.e., no resets for 3 weeks)

The developer does have a warning about slowness, somewhere on his site, so I'm not complaining. But I'm also NOT using PowerClip anymore. <sigh>

    those are my steps:
    1. I did warm-reset
    2. I copied PowerClip.prc using Resco Explorer to RAM
    3. another reset
    4. I opened memo which is 10 lines longer than standard "clipboard" capacity
    5. I used Menu>Edit>Select All to highlight everything in that memo
    6. I used Menu>Edit>Copy
    7. error: Clipboard limit exceeded appeared.
