I"m bout to purchase treo 600. The guy says it's new and never used. Is there anyway i can check if it has been used besides the outside for scratches. Is there any secrete menu option telling the minutes used etc?

Some of these codes work only on CDMA models, but most of them are for both versions of Treo. For SPRINT CDMA models you should enter "# # ..." before number the code, and for GSM models you have to enter "# *...", and for VERIZON CDMA, enter "# * # ...", where "..." is the number code. Enter the codes as if you are actually dialing the number from your Phone app.

This the Phone Information Page. It tells you how many minutes the unit has on it, how much data has transpired, the warranty date, software versions, ESN, etc.

Different question: why get the 600 now? Why not spend a little more and get the 650?

Anybody know what "MSID" refers to on a Sprint T600 (refurbished)? When I enter "##786", the MDN listing is my cell phone number, but MSID is a different phone number.
    TIA,

Brand new w/ full warranty 650's (Sprint) were $149 on Amazon few weeks ago, now they $529. Cingular and Verizon ones are $199....may be worth the $49 for full warranty coverage. Earthlink (which uses the Sprint network) also currently has the 650 for $199....tho I have seen it as low as $79.

And there's two 650 FS here on the TC boards ....one for $400 and one for $100, both w/ accessories.

my gf doesn't need the new features

    ie bluetooth , nice screen

She prefers the datebook on the tero 600 . I personally think that the 600 datebook is better. She also wants an mp3 player. This is what she wants and it's within a price range. Can you find me a new treo 650 for 200 ? If you can let me know cause most of the ones i've seen go for above 300 and they're used.

    150 for a new one is worth it... the treo 600 isn't all that bad..i have a 650 and i've had a 600...

The price difference is pretty significant. Remember we're talking about no contract phones here. You can pick up a new Treo 600 for about $125-150. A comparable Treo 650 would run $350-450. For someone who doesn't care about Bluetooth or EDGE its a deal.

any ideas where to get this 125-150 600's??
    beside ebay and quicksmartphones?

if any one would approve my credit, i'd get a new 650 and sell you my 600 for 125.
Treo 650... 2 broken screens, doesn't sync well, and a jacked up audio jack, but it's still better than anything i've seen so far.
