Hello, I've got a idea for a app that would utilize Blazer.

Every night at 12am central time, Woot.com updates its new item. Most often at that time I'm in bed.... However, if my Treo could wake up every night, hop on PCS Vision and fire open Blazer and go to www.woot.com for me and give me a little alarm so I can take a peek; that would be amazing!

What would be cooler if it could sign on, maybe just grab the item name from the RSS feed and then just pop up a little message box with a "OK" button and if it's interesting I'll crack open my iBook to check it out.

Thoughts? If I could get a script or something written I would do it, I would look into development on the Mac, I need to see what dev tools are available. Last time I looked at PalmOS dev was Codewarrior on the Palm m100.

OK, here is an even better solution! Try using a neat new app called Sharklink instead!

Use this in combination with LookAtme and you can call up any page you want any time!!

does anyone know of an application like lookatme, but that ca launch an application and disable the keyguard? lookatme doesn't remove the keyguard and it blocks the internet from connecting

Ahh...good point. Maybe though you can try to use Profiles to diable the keyguard during the lookatme event?

    http://www.freewarepalm.com/communic...profiles.shtml

There is a disable keyguard feature there, let me play around with it to see it you can setup a trigger to coincide with lookatme somehow...

AHahaha! It works perfectly! I setup a Profile to disable keyguard at specified time and then setup LookAtMe to launch a webpage shortcut setup by Sharklink during that interval and the webpage loaded perfectly when the Treo was off!!!

So for example, using MDWeezer above requirements, the setup would be as follows:

    1) Goto prefs > profiles and setup new profile named 'keyguard etc. Setup keyguard to disabled. Under triggers, setup timeofday. Under triger>action, setup switchback to whatever interval you want

2)Goto sharklink and create link to Woot.com site

3)Goto LookAtme and create new alarm to launch Woot link during interval setup in Profiles. Make sure to select system profiles to set default alarms or internal etc.

Now the Treo will launch the desired website even when turned off! The keyguard will be disabled and the page will load after alarm sounds automatically!

Well it's true you need to use three apps (Profiles, Sharklink, LookAtme) to do this task. But fortunately they are all freeware and simple to use!

TreoAlarm can wake up at a designated time and retreive weather. It is a nice all-in-one solution.

Even with setup to "Disable" Keyguard when my "Test Profile" is automatically run key protection is working. Any help? Strange that when automatically leaving this profile to my "Normal" (that is keyguard on) the key protection is then OFF!!?
