    Ladies & Gentlemen,
I just picked up a 2GB card from Fry's for $54 (including tax) with a rebate of $15. Effective cost to me: $39 Not too bad, I suppose.

Here's a link of some Fry's fanatic who tracks there ads!

I also purchased the PQI 2gb x155 but it didn't work for me - it took forever to read on my card reader. When I did download some mp3s, PTs would read then later my Treo 650 wasn't able to read the card. I reset with the card and still no-go. And my card reader wasn't able to see the card at all! Strange.

I returned it and got A-Data 2bg 150x (based on the good reviews from this site) for the same price and it works great. Both from Fry's.

Yup, I just snatched this up. Should be here on Wed. I hope to be able to use my Treo as my MP3 player now.

Yeah grabbed one too. Its actually 52.99 after 15.00 rebate, + 5.64 shipping. That's $14.66/GB, delivered. That's better than anything on Ebay, Buy.com, or Ecost at the moment. Get'em while the gettins good. One rebate per household, though.

    Any experiences with this card?

Tough decision. $64 shipped for Transend 4GB after a $30 rebate. Hard to decide between the Transend and the RiData. Both have mixed reviews and reported experience on Treo.

Thank you for mentioning the PQI deal at newegg, I took this one there today (weekend deal):

At this point the price is 65.99 (straight - no rebate) no shipping, plus tax if applicable. Nice improvements to the newegg site.

Checkmate have you used this store before?

I bought a SanDisk 1 GB card from an eBay trader and it is now corrupt after 3 months use. I cannot format it on my Treo or on my PC card reader. Goosed.

So I suppose my only option is to purchase another. But before I do, can somebody please explain whether the speed of the SD card is significant for a Treo 650. If I'm transferring, say, MP3s using hotsync, will it be quicker if I buy a faster card? Or is the difference negligible?

Also, I don't know if my SanDisk became corrupt because I was using a card reader. Is this not advisable?

Got the card last week and finally got around to changing Rom to use it. What happened was, first my Treo 650 recognized it with 3.7 GB available, and my computer saw via the dazzle sd card reader, that has never been a problem with any of my 1gb cards.

Then, my dell desktop running windows xp pro stopped seeing it. In fact, it also made windows explorer crash whenever I inserted the PQI card, and would run only afer it was removed. Tried rebooting the computer, and it would not boot to windows with the PQI card inserted. If I removed it, it would finish booting.

Then the icing on the bad cake was that when I tried to re-insert it into Treo, it wanted to reformat the card. Ok, whatever. I refomatted with Treo, and tried to put back in computer thinking maybe that was the issue. Still, no dice. Then, when I tried to reinsert back in Treo again, it asked to reformat AGAIN, and then said it could not recognize this type of card. AAAHHHHH!

Bottom line, PQI complaints on this forum and others I have searched seem to be born out by my experience. Those of you who have enjoyed no problems, well, enjoy. Mine is going back immediately.

Sometimes, you really get what you pay for.

Yes I have, loads of times. They don't have the fastest (or cheapest) delivery service around but the savings make it all worthwhile.

The 1GB cards I've purchased from them all perform as quickly as any others I've tried. I paid 17.99 for a 1GB card from them about 4 months ago and now 2GB is that price dammit!
