Why do you loath the AData cards?

Thanks - I ended up getting a 1gb Sandisk off eBay for a "Buy it Now" price of $38 - with shipping. Ordered it Friday night and received it Monday. I'll be buying from that guy again.

Funny thing about SD cards on eBay - they cost A LOT to ship!

Thanks for the info. Just bought one for $109.99 free shipping. I can't believe this is cheaper than my 2gb adata when I bought it for $141. Time to sell that one. Now I can store more mp3s..WOOHOO!

That's weird. I bought mine on the yesterday afternoon and I got it for $109 plus tax and 2nd day shipping came up to about $122. Wonder if I can still use the rebate.

Nice deal on the 2GB. I am looking for the best deal on a 4GB now that I have FAT32 for my Treo650. Ecost seems expensive for the 4GB cards at close to $130+.

These days...not so good. You can get them for half that price almost anywhere now.

Watch out for this card because it's not consistant and poorly made. I have this card and will not record video directly to it. Some reported that theirs will however. But majority will not.

I think the reason it wont record is because of the write speed. VFS Card Speed rates the card POOR and to use only 8KHz PCM.

    Wrt32bit 340 bytes/sec (sometimes Wrt32bit 158 bytes/sec)
    Wrt8KB 44582 bytes /sec
Custom write is 23526 bytes/ sec

Also the plastic they used is pretty cheap and tend to break easily. One of the plastic fins on the bottom of the card between the contacts on mine is already broken. I've only had it for a few weeks. I'll have to get Adata to replace it. This is probably a result of swapping the card in and out of my Treo and to my SD card reader and vice versa.

I also have a 2gb version of this card which had the plastic fall apart on it. Adata replaced it and the replacement was working flawlessly until I bought my 4gb and kept swapping back and forth between the 2 cards. Now the plastic on the bottom corner is chipped and will not work on my Treo anymore unless I push and hold the card down. If I let go then the Treo wont recognize it. So another replacement is in order.

So spend the extra $$$ and get a different card. I think people have the Transcend brand and are quite happy with it. If you've bought this card and your card works, I would highly recommend that you leave it in your Treo and try not to remove it too often.

Just got this Kingston Elite Pro 1GB for $38 shipped (I applied one of the 10% off codes they are always sending me via email.) It also has a $15 mail in rebate on it as well, which would make my final price $23, but I usually never bother with rebates... Its a great deal on its own.
