How many songs can you have if you connect this bugger to your Treo via the USB cable ?

what make's you think you can connect this to your treo? both the treo and the "la cie" are "slaves" neither are masters and therefore you cannot connect each together.

Methinks if Softick can wrote something to hook my Treo to my puter's hard drive somebody oughta be able to write a utility to this thing. External hard drives can be used across multi OS networks with on board "OS's"....plug em in and they are vthere. Seems to me writing to something like the Treo would be "piece of pie, easy as cake"

    Or how about this

Same reason people listen to $1,000 worth of audio libraries through the $14 sound system in their Treos ..... cause they can . Personally, I don't listen to mp3's and ipod like headphone music makes my teeth grind.

Not really suggesting it as something to go out and do today but as a pointer to some of the possibilities technology is bringing to us.

Well, 10,000 tracks was a little less than 50GB for me. I have since deleted my library to reorganize it with stricter quality and naming standards.

The proc in the Treo support usb host, but the version of PalmOS Garnet the Treo uses does not support usb host, usbtogo etc...

However I would love to see a dev like Softick etc try to write custom driver for this, but I don't know how feasible that is...

But where's the Treo cradle ????

Frankly, a Console Treo cradle, aux. hard drive and remote LCD would be about all I need.
