    cue79,

Let me ask you a question about SlingBox. Can you only view the channel that your home tv is set to or can you remotely choose any channel that you home tv has access to?

I've been to the web site and couldn't determine this.

    TIA

You can only watch the channel that your home TV is set to. But it still rocks.

When I looked into it, it stated that the software on your laptop, or whatever device your using, allows you to change channels and even have your Tivo record.

I was able to program my TIVO to record a show I had forgotten to record using Win-Hand to remotely access my home PC and connect to my TIVO.

That was one of the coolest things I've ever done with my Treo!

You can remotely control the device that you have connected to it. I use it with my Scientific Atlanta 8300 DVR. It's awesome if you spend a lot of time in hotel rooms traveling.

Ok - which brings me back to my frist question... where is the client for palm?

Sling Media has said that they are considering a Palm client, but so far there is no official word.

There's a lot of interest at the Sling forums also, so it may happen if enough people ask.

    That interesting...

I'm interested in knowing if it's possible to remotely control and change the channels via Dish receiver and etc. That would be the ultimate way to share and stream your home TV content...

    Gfunk,

Most dish recievers are supported. Let me know your receivers model number and I can check for you if you like.
