Is there any application that can do a series of commands at a time by tapping a specially assigned icon? I'd like to have my Treo execute an application or a sequence of apps at a predefined time of day/night (not only backups, but any installed app) or manually by tapping an icon within the launcher.

I was testing "MacroPlay Pro" which is very powerfull and offers most of what I was looking for....

    ...but unfortunately not everything :

MacroPlay assigns its macros to keystrokes (which are not really comfortable on a Treo650) or lets you execute them at an assigned time. But it doesn't create launchable items for each macro within the launcher.

This way, it would, for example, be easy to create a macro that cleans the cache each time before launching TomTom ... Or you could simplify activation of your daily waking up alarm clock to one single tap.... or you can automate setting/deleting of file attributes before syncing....

    Does anybody know such application?

    Thanks for your help!

    Really no ideas on that?

MacroPlay. Look for it on Palmgear. Works great, except that it doesn't recognize the 5-way fully (center button not detected) so I just tap the screen.

    Guilty your honor.

Seriously, I think MarcoPlay allows you to assign macros to hard keys, so if you have a hard key for TomTom, assign the macro to it.

VoiceNav will do macros by voice command. However I seem to have a bug with it. When connected to the network, but idle, the quickstart button will not work. Don't think you can schedule a macro.

I just want to update this and say that VoiceIt has a fix for the VoiceNav problem. Good response from them.

LudusTech has announced a new app called Sharkcuts, its comin fairly soon.

SharkCuts lets you create shortcuts in your Palm launcher (ZLauncher,
AppShelf, Standard Palm OS launcher, whatever…) to perform a specific
    action. These actions are:

SMS, Email, Link, Dial, Launch DA, Launch App, Macro

Macro lets you configure certain things to be done when the SharkCut
is tapped. For instance, it could open a PocketTunes playlist in
Blazer, tap OK, and then open pTunes for you

Has anyone heard if this is still going to be released
    Thought of the day :
No sense being pessimistic, it probably wouldn't work anyway
