I just started using MobiBOIP on the Treo 650. It works very well, but has no UI to speak of. So I was wondering? ...

I'd love to have TAKEphONE be my interface to MobiVOIP. Is there an interface that can be written to in order to achieve that? Is it public? I see in the telephony prefs that there is a setting for "Dial using:" and there are different "Location" profiles. It appears that this is already designed for just this thing. It would be very slick if I could use TAKEphONE and simply select one location profile to use the builtin radio and a different profile to select the VOIP app.

How can I point the developer of MobiVOIP in the right direction??

    Thanks

Please consider adding Shimon to your beta, even if it is closed. Shimon would be a very valuable asset for mobiVoip to have as a "friend". And having TAKEphONE be able to initiate calls through mobiVoip would make mobiVoip MUCH easier and more useful.

    Thanks

    Dear Shimon,

Please note that mobiVoIP supports only WiFi, EVDO and BT.

Please perform the echo test by dialing 3. Once you pass the echo tests successfully, we will add you to our long distance list.

Let us know the latency and BW that you have experienced.

    Regards,

    -mobiVoip team.

    Thanks.

I will setup my BT,and test this.

Meanwhile - does you app have any sort of a software interface ?
Meaning - can I launch you app from mine, passing a number to call ?

If yes - can you email me the documentation?
If not - are you planning one ?

    Hi Shimon,

Thanks for your interest with mobiVoIP - rite now we are focusing our efforts to get the version 1.0 stable - once the service is launched - I am sure we will comeup with an API to interface with mobiVoIP. Hope this happens very soon

I am sure the API will be a no problem to us.

Kindly be informed that version 0.9.8 is now out for beta testing - it has tonnes of new features added to it. Don't miss it - keep evaluating.

    Thanks again for your interest.

    Regards,
    Kalyan

So I've been using TakePhone for about a year now and it is a great program and I love it, but I have one issue with it.

With the standard Palm phone app I can change the background from the keypad to a picture, is this possible with TakePhone?

    Kalyan, Shimon,
Has anything ever hapened on this? Did MantraGroup ever give Shimon an API to work with? I've purchased MobiVoIP when I had a treo 600 (which did not have enough bandwidth). Now I have the 700p and it looks like MantraGroup may have fixed the problems with their server slowness. I'd like to have a TAKEphONE and MobiVoIP integration (similar to the TAKEphONE/VoYP integration). I'm sure Shimon would have done this by now if he had the API, so MantraGroup, GET ON IT already!!!
