Can anyone attest to whether or not RBackup is compatible with the FAT32 driver?

    Good Idea!

Also, W/ the Fat32 in Rom, some are getting faster results w/Fat16 on Card.
Faster than Fatfs in Rom, and Fat16 on Card.
But, if one gets a Card bigger than 2GB, one will need to go Fat32 either way.
Across the board those going Fat32 are Reaping the Bennies.

Many thanks for this custom ROM.

I dont know about Resco backup but I have Resco Explorer and works fine. So Rbackup should work too.

    1. Backup Treo
    2. Using card reader, rename PALM folder on SD card to PALM-old
    3. Copy PALM folder in the zip file to the SD card.
    4. Hard Reset
    5. In Palm Launcher, insert SD card. . . Wait. . .Phone will reboot a couple times
    6. When u get to touchscreen calibration, remove SD card. Calibrate.
    7. Hard Reset (to be safe)
    8. Restore Treo

You shouldn't have any problems with power run.

If there is a problem w/ the installer then it'll error out and leave your current ROM untouched. http://discussion.treocentral.com/im...lies/smile.gif
I have been keeping up with this thread with great interest. While I consider myself to be tech and Treo savy, making a custom ROM of my own gives me the chills. I decided to take the plunge and used the Sprint custom ROM posted by CraniumFunk, with the FAT32 file added. Following his instruction verbatim, the ROM update went off with no problems. Using RescoBackUp, my Treo is back to where it was before the update. Now with the FAT32 file, moving apps and running SD card apps with ZLink does appear to be much "zippier".

Now for future referance, should I decide to make my own custom ROM, will apps such as Agendus (v10), TakePhone, 2Day, KMaps (with java files) run off the ROM?

    Thanks!

Not a new ROM, just trying to installation of one of Jamesgangut's ROM. I think I've figured it out. Only 1 last query do we unzip the ROM to the PALM folder on the SD card or look for a PALM folder in the ZIP file and unzip that. The FAQ seems to suggest the latter but may be a typo and the former sounds more logical.

Wish me luck or else I am about to brickify my treo....
