I just got my first Expansion Card -

A Sandisk 1GB - is there anything special to installing it or do I just plug it in ?

P.S. I've got some mp3's to upload - how do you upload them to the device?

    It should be recognized.

As to mp3s, best to use a card reader. Put the files in the \AUDIO directory of the card.

I don't have a card reader, going to get one - can I pick one up locally at office store/radio shack, etc? What should I look for in one?

How do I transfer to the card in the meantime?

You could download Softick Card Export II. However I and many others have found that the Treo won't recognize the card unless it is formatted in a card reader first. Otehrs have found it only woks when they format it in the Treo so who knows what is going on there.

If going card reader I highly recommend this one which I also use to thernmally control the PC case:

I used Palm Quick Install - added some songs I had ripped to the bottom section for the Card - I synced and they are on my Treo now - But when I look at the contents of the card the screen is blank, I can open RealPlayer and see them all under songs -- Why can't I see them on the card? I anticipated being able to see them on the card and organize them somehow -

Now, what is the best way to organize the songs into Albums/Folders, to keep them separate ?

Ok -- how do I get a directory called \AUDIO on the card? I don't see anything there or a way to create it

Do I need a program like Resco or Filez to be able to create folders on the card?

FileZ is one option....alternately use CardExportII to mount the Treo's SD card as a windows drive or use a card reader on ya desktop.

I would format the card on the Treo first thing.

Do NOT send email to harv at treocentral dot com - it will never reach me.. forwarding from that address to my real address was hijacked in early 2008, and I can't fix it.. send me a private message instead or email me directly at my RR address..
