    You must haven't even tried. To send using ir, just beam the file. Using blue tooth you have to enable ftp service "or what ever it's called", then the other device can view the files, and take what they want.

    download 'filez', select the mp3, select 'send', and then select ir or bluetooth.

    An MP3 over IR? Painful... Remember, IR tops out at 115kbps. Use Bluetooth! Filez (and some other file manager apps) allow to you send any file as was noted above.
