my corded ear pc is not on but my treo think it is. It won't let me do anything. I can't hear anyone on the other end, but they can hear me.
The hang up button and hold button is there. but the middle is blank.

    any suggestions?

It's a hardware problem... hopefully you can get it replaced via warranty or insurance.

Here is a link to the fix. I can do it for $60 which includes priority return shipping. The fix is a permanent fix.

Cool stuff! My jack just went out on me (2 weeks left in my 1 year warranty) and I'm being sent a replacement T650, but when/if this new one goes south on me, I'll definitely be getting in touch with you.

My phone also thought the corded earpiece was connected to the jack but the problem went away after I cleaned the connectors. Specifically, I cleaned the jack with a narrow qtip and alcohol followed by reinserting and removing the earpiece plug that I also coated in alcohol. If cleaning the connectors fails, then it sounds like a faulty jack.

I doubt cleaning did anything, the contacts are gold plated. Most likely the repetitive insertion did it, but unfortunately the problem can only get worse with time.

I just had the same problem. Took the phone in to the Sprint store, and 30 minutes later I had a brand new phone.
