I'm after a piece of software, if anyone knows of something simalr to what I want, I would love to hear about it.

On my Treo I sometimes connect to the internet via GPRS, sometimes I use a dialup connection and sometimes I use Bluetooth to share my computers Internet connection.

All of this works great, however everytime I want to change this connection I must load the Prefs app, open the Network section, change the connection then return to the app I want to use and connect. I'm getting board of doing this!!

Ideally I think the best option whould be to see an option appear when the signing-on window apears, this option would allow me to select the connection I want to use before continuing - simple - but I can't find anything.

    All ideas most welcome, thanks

you want the netselectDA and a da launcher like petite launcher.

NetSwitchDA (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/netswitchda.shtml) just toggles the connection on and off.

NetConnectDA (http://members.tripod.com/~hokamoto/NetConnectDA11a.zip) toggles on/off and can open Network Preferences to choose among networks.

    netconnectDA - heres a working link: http://members.tripod.com/~hokamoto/palm.html

You can use a program named Macroplay http://xvisionnow.tripod.com/cgi-bin/index.pl.
It can do anything like change network, turn it on or off or anything else pretty much. You can schedule events, program hard buttons to execute. I find it a very useful program. Itís not free but it can do a lot.

    I use NetSelect:
    http://mytreo.net/downloads/details-702.html?NetSelect
It works pretty well. I had the same issue where I toggle between bluetooth network access points (I use like a wifi access point) and GPRS/EDGE when I'm out.
I set it to pop up with "Silk:Find". This way you hold Option-Find at the same time to get it to pop up. You still can use find just tap option, then tap find (one after the other, not at the same time.)

The only problem is that it times out after a few weeks saying it's not registered, but I can't figure out how to register it. So every few weeks when this happens I just delete it and then copy it back in to RAM from my SD card. I just keep a copy on my SD card and deleting/reinstalling it this simple method makes it work again for a few weeks.

I tried netselect, but it caused so many issues that I was forced to delete it immediately.
After installing and enabling it, my t650 crashed when running almost any application...
Since it is not supported anymore, I guess I have to find valid alternatives...

Is there any other alternative to quickly changing connection setup than this?

Hmm. I use it with not problem. But I believe I have it locked in memory using "Resco Locker" (free.) It locks older applications that don't lock themselves in memory and almost eliminates the crashing. It's worth a try. I haven't found any other alternatives yet.

    The application has been discontinued...
There is a keygen around... if you need it... ;-)
