I have an SD card reader built-in in my laptop..this means i could simply slip the SD card into the slot and load .prc files on there directly..however..i dont know how to access the SD once i put it in...i figured it would work like a portable usb drive..but nothing comes up once i put it in..does anyone know how to access it? probably a stupid/simple answer lol

It should simply show up as another drive when you go to My Computer.

Not without knowing the specs of your card reader and perhaps your computer.

Well, since most of them are for CD/DVD drives, you can rule out all but the "memory key" entries. I would have assumed your reader was an internal USB device, and thus shouldn't need drivers (unless it's Win9X).

If you reinstall anything, I would think it would be the main system's USB drivers. But you could try the M-Systems drivers. It's not going to hurt anything (cough... it *shouldn't* hurt anything, but it's a computer, so even breathing on it wrong could crash it)

Do you have another card to try in this slot, to ensure the reader is working. Or does this card work in other devices?

    NO HLDS GCC-4243N Slim CDRW/DVDROM 24X GBAS
NO HLDS Slim GWA-4040N 4X DVD+/-RW Japan Only
Maybe M-Systems HS 128M and 64M USB Memory Key
Maybe M-Systems HS 256M USB Memory Key
