My Treo developed a new issue this morning: the phone portion does not produce any sound: not from the regulars speaker, nor the speakerphone, nor the wireless headset. It works in all other respects: dial/receive calls, data, etc.

I tried a soft reset, which didn't fix the problem. So before I hard reset, has anyone else seen this problem? If so, any fix suggestions?

    TIA

Does it work with a headset plugged into the jack? If so, you probably have a problem with the headset jack. There has been lots of discussion on this so you may want to do a search.

    Basics were all covered.

Luckily, the problem disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared.

My wife's had the same problem. Take it to Sprint or whoever your carrier is and have them clean the contacts if it happens again.

Faulty audio jack. Next time you get this problem, plug headset into it and remove -- should fix the problem (until next time).
