Where I live I get no service unless I leave my phone on the window sill (on the actual window, not by it). I am looking into Wilson external antennas but they all need to be plugged into the phone. I'm assuming that rubber stopper on the back of the Treo is for an external antenna. Is there a solution that can boost the signal locally (by placing it by or on the window) without plugging into the device? Maybe something that can transmit the dual bands?

Sounds like you are looking for a repeater. I think Wilson makes one of those too, but not sure. Someone here has one...search and you should find the thread.

I have the Digital Antenna unit I use in a remote area and it works flawlessly. I am interested in the Wilson model though, it sounds like it would be better!

I am not sure of how the Sprint unit works, I think it is around $300 at a Fry's Electronics.

Wow, I wasn't looking to spend $550 on this...
Wilson doesn't have 1900-band amplifiers/repeaters available yet anyway.

Maybe wired is the only way to go.
