I'm actually fairly happy with Pics&Videos, except for these two very major problems:

    * It is horribly slow at generating thumbnails (close to 30 seconds!!!)
    * It is horribly slow at showing thumbnail view on any category where even one image does not have a thumbnail generated yet, even if that image is not showing in the list view yet.

I suspect these problems won't get addressed. Is there another image AND video viewer that can handle JPG, ASF (what Palm Desktop converts AVI files to for use on the phone) or AVI, and 3g2? I'd hate to have to use two applications (say RescoView for pictures, and Pics&Videos only for videos), but I may have to resort to that.

I now have 706 pictures and 22 videos (ASF and 3g2) on my 2GB expansion card...

Have you looked at TCPMP http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=5...se_id=222#r222
    http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about
Its a freebie. It has a plam and PPC version. It runs from the card.

Also blink video is a free converter for video http://www.radgametools.com/#Bink

I just tried TCPMP 0.71 (latest), and it can't handle the Qualcomm QCELP audio codec used in the 3g2 video files generated by the Treo 650's camera. This is discussed in the TCPMP forums, and is not likely to be resolved anytime soon.

Anyone had luck with Kinoma Player 3 EX? The demo version is currently broken and cannot play 3g2 files. (This is a bug, the demo is supposed to.)

Hi, I can playback 3g2 movie files recorded via the Treo 650 camcorder using Kinoma Player 3.1.1 EX. The video playback is pretty smooth but for some reason, i can not get the audio to play for the vids I recorded. I'll try to fiddle with it later on...
