Has anyone had any success for the new Google Local Maps. Google says it is not yet supported for the Treo, but I went ahead and installed the Java app (Link to http://google.com/glm from blazer and pick a phone). I used Sprint - Samsung - Data Package. Everything seemed to work, the initial US map was displayed but when I searched on my zip the Treo 650 hung. I will try some more.

You can use K-map instead. It's free and easy to use.

KMaps is very cool. I used it when I sort of got lost the other day. Remember, patience is a virtue

Isn't Java required for Kmaps? That's a big RAM hit.

I have over 70 3rd party apps and 10 Meg free. It's not a big deal if you use a 3rd party launcher to run apps from the card. Java is required for Google Maps too.
