For anybody interested, here is the first beta release of my GetMovies program. This program will find the five closest theaters to your zip code. From there you can select a theater and find movie times.

Glad you like it. Im planning on improving the 5-way support soon and maybe add a couple of new features.

Very nice. I've got two suggestions:
    1. When entering the zip code, ignore all non-numeric input, except for e,r,t,d,f,g,x,c,v - but these should be translated into their numeric equivalent (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).
    2. I'd like some way to expand the radius around the chosen zip code; it looks like you're using 5 miles as the default.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

Your right, I need to fix this and make it numeric only.

As for the radius, I will look into it, but basically its doing a query against the yahoo servers. Im not sure there is a setting in there to change it, but I will look.

I like the idea of showing the date of the 'Last Update'. I will add that in the next version. I dont think I can search for future dates, but I will check on it.

I don't think it will. It is pretty small in size though

It runs just fine from the card.

On the movies.yahoo.com website, there is a link to expand the theaters shown. That link might give you some help.
    Palm V-->Visor Deluxe-->Visor Prism-->Visorphone-->Treo 180-->Treo 600-->Treo 650 on Sprint-->Treo 700p-->Centro-->Diamond-->Pre-->HTC EVO 4g???!

It runs just fine from the card

    I stand corrected.

As for the radius, Im actually hitting the wap.oa.yahoo.com website, not the movies.yahoo.com site.

Isn't this service available in Canada? Yahoo Movies works with Canadian postal codes too which include letters. I tried it and noticed that there isn't enough space for a Canadian postal code.

Whats your postal code? I will test. If it works on the site, I will need to make the field length longer.

You can use the one for Toronto M4B1B5.

I just tried it. I didn't work. It says please enter a "U.S. address".

Okay, then I guess since its a US only thing, ignoring non-numeric entries would be good.

But now I'm wondering if its just a matter of querying a different database.

Another thing. I noticed that when I go from one theater to the next--within the same theater query--the movie times get cleared so that if I wanted to go back to the first theater it has to query movie times again. Would it be possible, or even desirable, to keep the movie times in cache and have a "Delete Cache" option in the dropdown?

    Thanks.
