Small flame please if I'm missing a previous post, but has anyone found a hard mount for the Ford Excursion (or a universal hard mount that screws into the dash using existing bolts behind the dash for a clean look) that puts the phone up high, like top of dash, so the GPS screen is readily viewable? I'm tired of the goose neck bobble. The two hard mounts I've found are way too low (in-dash cup holders, bottom of dash to right of sterring wheel). Air conditioning vent mounts scare me...cold moist air blowing itno the unit doesn't spound good...big bounces breaking vents maybe? I have a deisel Ex so it's a firm ride and I hit dirt roads with some frequency). Maybe there's even a dock that will stay on top of the dash without marring it? Thx! Ken S.

Buy a RAM mount from GPS City. I have one for my Garmin iQue 3600 and it is rock steady with the suction cup mount to the windshield. You can mix and match the mounts, necks, etc. to come up with exactly what you want.

What about a ProClip vehicle mount for the Excursion, and a vertical extension plate with a Treo mount... would that work for you?

I was going to go the Pro Clip way as Mark suggested, looks the best IMHO, and probably more secure. A little pricey, but probably worth it in the long run.

Excellent! Forgot about the generic PDA mounts that might work! Will look into it ASAP. Am reminded there is a RAM provider for my motorcycles too, so I can probably get something that will readily transfer to all my bikes/cars/trucks! I'll start there. Y'al came thru- appreciate it! -KS

I just got a ProClip (for a BMW) and it is well worth the money. It's very stable and allows for quick insertion and removal of the Treo.
