I'm having difficulty using Snappermail Enterprise to open an attachment with an Outlook contact or calendar file to import into Beyond Contacts. I'm trying to receive an Outlook Contact emailed to me through the "Forward as vCard" function in Outlook.

When I click on the attachment, I get the various menu choices to "Open with Contacts, Open with BCContacts" etc. When I click on "Open with BCContacts" it appears to be working. But a few seconds later, an error message pops up "Format of incoming data is invalid!" What does this mean? I want for an Outlook Contact and/or Outlook Calendar attachment to get imported to Beyond Contacts.

    Any ideas? Thanks, CC.

Will that vCard open successfully with Contacts?

    Hi Bill,

Yes, the vCard will open successfully in the Palm's internal contacts, but not into Beyond Contacts.

I can't find anything on this via Google or the Dataviz support site (this doesn't sound like a SnapperMail problem); it says there that they don't provide support via phone or email, so I don't know what to tell you. There is a work-around, though:

According to this from the Dataviz site, if you choose "Enable synchronization with the built-in Contacts Database" you can accept the vcard into the Contacts database first and it will make its way to Beyond Contacts upon the next Hotsync.
